Karina G. Alcaraz
ASSOCIATE
Karina Alcaraz has worked with Jacobsen & McElroy since 2019. First as a paralegal and now as an attorney and she will continue to work in the defense of complex civil matters involving personal injury, habitability and construction. She earned her Juris Doctorate with Distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2022 while working full-time. She is a lifetime member of the Traynor Honor Society. Karina graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2011. She then obtained her Paralegal Studies Certificate in 2013 and gained valuable experience working as a paralegal for a plaintiff side boutique law firm specializing in construction defect, real estate fraud, and mobile home residency law from 2013 to 2019. In 2019 Karina joined J&M where she continued her work as a paralegal and expanded her areas of handling to include personal injury, habitability and construction matters. Based on her excellent work and her extensive experience we are excited that Karina is now an attorney at J&M.
Also, while in law school, Karina found time to serve as the Vice Justice for Phi Alpha Delta, the largest professional law fraternity in the United States and now is the alumni advisor for Phi Alpha Delta for the current academic year. Further, she worked as a student attorney in the Immigration Law Clinic representing underserved non-citizens before the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration Courts.
Karina enjoys spending time with her husband, family and black Labrador Nala doing anything outdoors, including hiking, camping, and kayaking.
