Patricia A. Blackwell

Patricia Blackwell is Senior Counsel at Jacobsen & McElroy PC and has been practicing law for 29 years. Patricia attended Western State University College of Law in Irvine where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1995.

Pat is passionate about the practice of law and has defended clients for more than 29 years in actions involving construction defects, premises liability, products liability, and property casualty.  She has handled many complex cases in these areas and her expertise in law and motion and appeals led to a dismissal of the developer at an appellate mediation following the trial of a 400 home Class Action involving the failure to disclose an earthquake fault trace in Healdsburg, CA. Also, she successfully argued for the extension of the “assumption of the risk” defense to a slip and fall incident and won a dismissal of the landlord in a $2M commercial premises liability case in which the security gate to the parking garage was not working and a jewelry store was robbed.

When not practicing law, Pat enjoys working on many projects around her home and using her artistic skills to sculpt cakes while also making super paste flowers to accent her cakes.
