Roberto Guzman

ASSOCIATE

Roberto Guzman has been with Jacobsen McElroy Booth & Dolin since 2017, initially joining the firm as a paralegal before transitioning to a law clerk position while completing his Juris Doctorate. His experience in these roles has given him an invaluable perspective on case preparation, client relations, and the importance of meticulous legal research and analysis. Prior to joining Jacobsen McElroy Booth & Dolin, Rob began his legal career working in workers’ compensation law where he gained invaluable experience representing clients and understanding the complexities of claims and defenses.

Rob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from California State University, Chico in 2016. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Rob was heavily involved in student government and advocated for increased funding for state schools across the state of California. Rob was also involved with the Community Legal Information Center where his experiences shaped his approach to practicing law with integrity, fairness, and a focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients.

Driven to deepen his legal knowledge, Rob attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento and graduated in 2023. During his time at Lincoln, he co-founded the Lambda Lincoln Law Chapter, a student organization focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Outside of law, Rob has a passion for cooking, often experimenting with new recipes and sharing meals with family and friends. Spending quality time with loved ones is important to him, and he values moments spent in good company. Rob also enjoys traveling, finding joy in exploring new cultures and gaining fresh perspectives. A fan of cinema, he frequently watches both the latest films and timeless classics. Additionally, he enjoys exploring different breweries and trying new craft beers, always finding joy in discovering new flavors with friends. Rob is also fluent in Spanish.
