Samantha H. Ramsey
SENIOR COUNSEL
Samantha Ramsey is Senior Counsel and has extensive experience in the practice of law. She joined Jacobsen & McElroy to handle complex civil matters including defense of personal injury, transportation, habitability and property damage lawsuits. Samantha graduated from California State University Sacramento, and enjoyed a successful career as a middle school history/language arts teacher for 13 years. Inspired by her father, a very well respected attorney and mediator in the Sacramento area and known nationally, she decided to follow his path, graduating from Lincoln Law School in 2003. Since then, she has represented defendants in civil lawsuits in the private sector and public sector in tort litigation and in addition, worked with multiple state agencies at the California Department of Justice, with an emphasis on constitutional law, negotiating civil penalty resolutions and mandamus writs. As associate general counsel at the Sacramento County Office of Education, Samantha performed extensive contract review, educational program compliance and charter school overview.
Sammy was a collegiate rower at USC and then CSUS. She also coached middle and high school sports, both boys and girls, and provided community service support of athletics for the Fair Oaks Girls Softball Association and was inducted into the FOGSA Hall of Fame.
Samantha’s interests include spending time with her family, music, art, reading, sports, exercise and her pets.
